Thanksgiving is just around the corner! While food, family, and fun will definitely be taking center stage on the autumn holiday, it’s also important to remember the true meaning of the holiday: gratitude. We’re definitely grateful for our feline friends, and the affection, comfort, and entertainment they provide. And while we may poke fun at Fluffy for being a bit of a brat at times, we know that she is actually very appreciative of the love and care we offer. A local Crown Point, IN vet lists a few things your feline pal may actually be grateful for in this article.
Food
Kitties are quite capable little hunters. However, they clearly much prefer to just lounge about, letting us pamper them. (To be fair, we really can’t blame them for that.)
Sunbeams
Cats aren’t actually cold-blooded, but they don’t seem to have really realized that yet. Our feline pals are always on the lookout for warm napping spots. If Fluffy has a comfy bed or chair to snooze on that’s in a sunny spot, she’s probably pretty grateful for that, too.
Catnip
Giving your feline pal catnip may be just as fun for you as it is for her. This can also make a great holiday gift for your furry friend!
Clean Litter
There’s really no guesswork on this one. Our feline friends clearly prefer clean bathrooms, and who can blame them?
Toys
Playing is of course fun for kitties. However, it’s also important for both their mental and physical health. Cats all have their own purrsonal preferences, of course. Try giving your furry little friend a variety of toys, and see what she likes best.
Lap Space
One of the best things about cats is the fact that they are so affectionate and loving. Fluffy also happens to be just the right size to fit into our laps!
Boxes
We may never entirely sort out Fluffy’s box obsession. The assumption is that cats feel safe and cozy in small spots. However, that doesn’t really explain why they squish themselves into boxes that are clearly too small for them.
Love
Last but not least, your furry pal is grateful for you! She may express that gratitude in some odd ways, such as pouncing on your toes or knocking your water bottle over, but that’s only to be expected.
